Sunday, October 16, 2016
Please consider joining us for the day… there are so many wonderful things we can do together to help others! Everyone is welcome.
9:00 AM to 12:00 PM – Welsh Cookie Baking
Sign up to prepare, bake and package delicious cookies that make a HUGE international impact! Please see Sally Salach for more information and/or if you are interested in serving on this team. Not able to serve on the team? No problem. Complete an order form and pay $5.00 per dozen for these delicious treats.
10 to 11 AM – Church service
Join us for the traditional Sunday morning service.
11:15 AM to 12:30 PM – “Pot-Luck” Lunch
Bring a dish to share and your drinks (water, plates, napkins and utensils will be provided) and gather in Rumbaugh Hall for a meal before the afternoon team mission work begins. Fellowship and food… a wonderful combination.
Mission teams – 12:30 to 3 PM
Sewing Team – Sew the pillowcase kits prepared at the April TCHLTB, to be delivered to a local hospital. This will be an “open team” for those comfortable enough with sewing to work on their own or to form their own team. An ironing board and iron will be set up in Rumbaugh Hall; please bring your own sewing machine if you are interested in serving on this team.
Kids Create – Create colorful decorations for Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas to be distributed to local nursing facilities and group homes. Please see Natalie Staron if you are interested in co-leading or serving on this team.
Sing-along – Join the sing along at Keystone Garden Estates. Please see Louise McCabe for more information and/or if you are interested in serving on this team. The team will have a brief practice prior to traveling to Keystone Garden Estates.
Operation Christmas Child – Complete final shopping and assembling boxes of gifts for international children. Please see Bonnie MacDonald for more information and/or if you are interested in serving on this team.
Cake, Coffee and Fellowship – 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM
The DUMC Missions From the Kitchen team will prepare and host the fellowship time for the day’s participants to gather and share stories about their day.
Please contact Natalie Staron for more TCHLTB
